  • Silpure is a simple-to-use antimicrobial treatment that provides long-term, cost effective protection against unwanted odors. Offering excellent compatibility with other textile finishes, it is typically co-applied by padding with other auxiliaries. This means that no additional processing steps are required. Applicable for both synthetic and natural fibers, Silpure is durable to multiple washes, lasting the useful life of the treated article.
  • Silpure is US EPA registered, BPD compliant and Oeko-Tex listed, and complies with all regulatory requirements of the countries where it is sold.
  • Silpure uses the power of silver to bring long-lasting antibacterial properties to textiles. This unique patented antimicrobial product contains ultra-fine silver crystals that release silver ions at a controlled rate only when the conditions for bacterial growth exist. Through careful control of the size and shape of the particles during production, Silpure avoids the fabric discoloration that can occur with other silver antimicrobial products.
  • Garments treated with Silpure, especially intimates and sportswear, provide lasting cleanliness and freshness. Silpure can also be used to protect domestic textiles such as towels, bedding, upholstery and more from the undesirable effects of microbial growth.

Antimicrobial Benefits

  • Textiles treated with Silpure antimicrobial products promise freshness, stain protection and an extended product life. Formulated to provide excellent durability, fabrics treated with Silpure  continue to offer performance after multiple cleanings or extended exposure to environmental stresses.
  • Bacteria and fungi can degrade textiles in many ways. They create odors in intimate and athletic wear, proliferate in medical environments, and can be responsible for stains in upholstery and other household items. Microbial growth also attacks outdoor textiles such as awnings, tents, or lawn furniture and leads to discoloration and degradation.

DuPont Teflon Coating

Teflon® Stain Protection is a durable fluorochemical finish that forms an invisible shield around each fiber While many stain resistance products are merely a surface coating for fabrics, Teflon® works on the nano scale— that is, on the molecular level—to protect each fiber

Teflon® fluorochemical products for textiles contain functional “combs” along a polymer “backbone” which allow the Teflon® treatment to become attached to the textile during professional application. Usually acrylic- or urethane-based, the polymer makeup determines whether the treatment will behave as a repellent or release, and enables the treatment to withstand normal laundering or manufacturer’s care instructions.  The fluorocarbon side chains pack closely together to create a stain-resistant surface. The best orientation of the side chains occurs when there is no branching, and the fabric has been subjected to heat during processing, or during dry pressing after washing.

Lenzing Tencel® Lyocell

  • TENCEL® branded lyocell fibers from the house of Lenzing. They are of botanic origin, since they are extracted from the raw material wood. Fiber production itself is extremely ecofriendly, due to the closed loop system. On the day that the TENCEL® fibers were invented, a new chapter was written in the history of fibers. Textiles of TENCEL® fibers are more absorbent than cotton, softer than silk and cooler than linen.
  • TENCEL® fibers come from nature and make use of photosynthesis which has, since the beginning of time, been an important mechanism in nature and the basis for life on earth. In photosynthesis the energy from the sun is absorbed by various dyestuffs, primarily green chlorophyll, and converted into chemical energy. In this respect, the starting products of carbon dioxide and water are converted into dextrose and oxygen. The more TENCEL® fibers you have, the more oxygen.
